By Charles Dickens, adapted by Karen Louise Hebden
Musical Director/Arranger Derby Playhouse
Director: Stephen Edwards
Ebenezer Scrooge is a man who hoards his money and refuses to help anyone but himself. After begrudgingly giving his trusty employee Bob Cratchit a day off for Christmas Day he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future to show him the error of his ways.
An array of Christmas Carols, of course, was used by Kelvin to create a wall to wall score of festivity and humbug!
“Superbly crafted arrangements…it was a joy to sit and hear the rich orchestrations of traditional carols….” Derby Evening Telegraph
“Credit must also go to the Musical Director, Kelvin Towse, who elicited some particularly lovely quiet singing from the cast and plenty of hearty carolling.” Theatre World
“Well done to the Musical Director, Kelvin Towse and his band, whose accompaniment to the hearty carolling and creation of so many musical effects adds greatly to the atmosphere.” Theatre World Internet Magazine
